Prelude to Ichthus

Time for what will be my most epic concert experience thus far. That and I felt like I needed to post something before next Sunday, when my next chance will likely be! I’ll be traveling with my friend Ross (that guy from Alive Fest) and here’s our tentative schedule:

Weds

Between 5-6 PM – Arrive at Ichthus Farm

6 PM – Matthew West

8:10 – TobyMac

10:00 – Newsboys

Thurs

12 PM – Arrive at Ichthus

Bands we hope to catch (in rough order): Me in Motion, DecembeRadio, Stellar Kart or Grits, KJ-52,Children 18:3, TFK, Relient K, Switchfoot, Haste the Day

Friday:

Bands we hope to catch: Manic Drive, The Showdown, Remedy Drive, possibly Corpus Christi and MyChildrenMyBride, Fireflight, Red, Skillet, The Devil Wears Prada, and maybe White Collar Sideshow or the Transform DJs and maybe Day of Fire after that.

Saturday:

Bands: Either Seabird or Philmont, Abandon, Rookie, maybe the Afters, Sanctus Real, Decyfer Down, Disciple, Pillar, Anberlin.

Other Highlights: Shane Claiborne sharing Saturday afternoon, Dave Ramsey speaking Thursday afternoon, Eric Timm (the No One Underground artist/speaker), and a festival wide Communion service that will happen Saturday evening.

So, expect LOTS of coverage of this festival come this Sunday and on for the next few days after. Pray that God would bless us and the 18,000+ attenders of this festival over the next 4 days. I’d like to pray for good weather too but a better way to phrase that might be prayers for the safety of everyone. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out. As a family friend likes to say, “I make plans and God laughs!” so who knows what adventures we’ll face.

Peace,

This is the Getterz.
